Here it is…Our ADULT Cheerleading Video!

Our Make-A-Wish fundraiser for my kiddos’ elementary school was a big success this past weekend—not to mention, a lot of fun! As I said in my last post, we had teachers play basketball against the parents and we also had teacher and parent cheerleaders—including yours truly :)! The entire event was meant to be a very interactive and entertaining night for both the players and cheerleaders, as well as for the spectators in the stands. We incorporated funny penalties and relay drills for the basketball players and also dance routines performed by ‘us cheerleaders’ that we actually held a cheer practice for (still doesn’t feel right saying that at my age)!

We chose to do a routine to What’s the Fox Say? for the children’s enjoyment, but ended-up getting way more enjoyment out of it ourselves! The other PTA mothers have given me full permission to post this video, but only because we are all wearing masks! Haha! I will tell you that I am the one in the yellow short-sleeved shirt that gets a little crazy and pulls a few muscles at the end! For those of you who know me, though, this comes as no surprise, whatsoever!

So, without further ado…I give you the ‘entertaining’ 2-minute video of our performance:

Are you like me and not easily embarrassed by anything…or could you never see yourself doing this? I’m always curious to see just how crazy I am!

What a cute video. That song “What Does The Fox Say.” is the kind of song that gets in your head and you can’t forget it. I think it is fun to go back and do things fun like we did when we were kids. It makes you feel young again yourself.

I couldn’t agree more! That song is so catchy and fun and that’s why we chose it for the kiddos! We all felt like teenagers that night :) Lol!

I was a cheerleader in JR HI. It’s in your blood to do this. Being an adult doesn’t change anything. This I would do in a min. IF I COULD! I CANT! I found out the hard way! Landing on my butt! that I can’t even do a jumping jack! I Have Parkinson’s disease. But that little fact has not totally reached my adult heart yet. I loved the video! I read your article in Du Bois Mag.

Appreciating the time and energy you put into your blog and detailed information you provide. It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed material. Wonderful read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.|
